Tired!
Hello!
This week has gone by so fast! I can't believe it's Thursday already!!!! We have had a great time working. Scraping paint off a house is tough work! We've had fun though, and now the house is all painted and looking lovely! I am so proud of all our hard work and endurance throughout the week.
The man who owns the house we are working on is very grateful and the neighbors are quite appreciative as well. One woman even baked us a Zucchini Cake on Monday! YUM!
On Tuesday we used primer and scraped some more.
On Wednesday, six of us went White Water Rafting and had a blast. Not one person in our group fell out of the raft while going over the rapids. We went up to a class 5 rapid and had a ball jumping from high rocks into the water, "riding the bull" and popping wheelies in the raft. The only thing is, I got sunburn on the top of my thighs! Talk about weird. For dinner, those who went rafting stopped at Biscuit World for dinner. We have all decided that Maryland needs a Biscuit World. :)
The dorms are pretty nice. Everyone seems to be getting along well. :)
Today we finished painting the house, and now it's a bright, crisp white. Mr. Bob, Steph and I got to explore the weak & rotting roof and paint up there. That was even scarier than the rapids! There is still much work to be done on the house but we can only do so much in the little time have here. While painting today I got to thinking about just how blessed I am to have such good people around me. I really am happy and proud to work with everyone on our team.
Alright folks! I can't think of anything else to type and I'm falling asleep on the keyboard as it is! It's time for a nap, goodnight. :) God Bless! ~Laura~
